Tasting Notes
Gaetano Carboni captured something quite special in this Montepulciano bottling, creating a wine with inviting, supple and juicy red fruit. There is a vein of earth and depth in the wine alongside alluring spice undertones, but more than anything, it is the impeccable balance that makes an impact. Fine-grained tannins and lifted acidity give the wine elegance more often seen in Sangiovese and Nebbiolo than Montepulciano. This is remarkably good Montepulciano with a long life in the cellar ahead of it. - Importer Note
