Tasting Notes
Barossa with a modern difference. It's Mourvedre and it may be 14% alcohol but it's very light on its feet. Producer says it has bramble, yes. I thought of beetroot and tobacco - a sense of sweet root and leaf with heaps of blue fruit, acidity and fine tannin. Package it up and feel an unctuous, savoury fruited wine looking for a meal of red or white meat. - Michael L
Freddie Stevenson sources biodynamic fruit from regions around South Australia. Everything is small batch here, and minimal intervention is a must. The wines are fun and lively in the glass and speak of the regions in which they come. Never overblown or overdone.
