Tasting Notes

Deliciously juicy and fruity. I actually think James Erskine needs to produce this in popsickle form! And if he doesn't, we will! Don't be scared by the colour or the haze (ever), it's what makes this wine so succlent and textural to balance our all those fruity characters. Get it while you can cause this stuff doesn't last long. - Chris L

James Erskine is a man with genuine passion for his wines and while that may not be unique in the wine world, James is one of the more uniquely creative people in the wine world that you are ever likely to meet. The grapes for this wine come from the Wood Vineyard planted by Ralph Wood in 1988 along the Clarendon Ridge in South Australia skirting the boundary of Adelaide Hills and McLaren Vale. All the vines are grown organically without the use of additional water and remain on their original root-stock planted on sandy red-grey over ironstone bedrock.
