As with the Chénas described above this is also a wine released under their négoce label La Soeur Cadette because the grapes were purchased, not grown on the estate. Juliénas is also a cru region of Beaujolais and this wine is a beautiful expression of that region.
The grapes were picked from two plots in a vineyard where the vines are nearly 80 years old. The grapes were then transferred to a refrigerated truck to take them to Vézelay. The grapes then underwent whole bunch carbonic maceration and were then pressed and the juice was transferred to old barrels. The end result is a great wine! - Importer Note
