Little Wine number 7 is the younger sibling to the Hoffman HD Syrah. It's an unvintaged 'assemblage' exclusively sourced from the treasured plots within the Hoffmann's 'Dallwitz' vineyard from vines planted in 1996, 1995, 1994, 1960 & the oldest vines planted prior to 1912. This multi vintage Shiraz blend is spicy, rich and savoury with leathery undertones. The nose is led by black fruit, violets and baking spices. The fruit on the palette is packed in tight and a good decant will allow the wine to open up and transform. It has structure with robust tannins and fruit for days. This is all complimented by the savoury undertones.
Fraser Kinley is the man behind Sami-Odi wines. In 2003 he left his home in Auckland, New Zealand and headed to the Barossa where he spent time working at Torbreck and Standish Wine Company. In 2006 he made the move to Barossa and set up a small winery "Sami Odi". His wines are made from carefully selected plots of vines coming from some of the finest vineyards in the valley. All the plots are vinified separately and blended later on to create a wine that is greater than the sum of its parts.
