Tasting Notes
Drank our bottle in mid-2018, 24 hours after decanting, and the dark fruits, spice and chalky tannins remain powerful. Delicious savoury Bourgogne level pinot with a long life ahead, makes this good value. - Michael L
A ripe and earthy yet quite pretty nose features notes of both red and dark berry fruit along with a hint of the sauvage. There is good concentration and plenty of vibrancy to the delicious and solidly concentrated flavors that culminate in a round and complex finish that delivers excellent length for its level with only a touch of rusticity. Note that this is not a Bourgogne destined to be drunk immediately so some patience will be required. - Burghound
Half the vineyard was planted in 1971 and the other half in 1974. Surface Area: 2,20 hectares (5.43 acres). The vineyard is located on the hillside overhanging the village of Savigny. The soil, full of rocks, produces a very full red wine, quite firm and with a good aging potential. - Winery Note
