Tasting Notes
100% Shiraz - Sourced from various sections of the Helbig Family Vineyard ‚– Roennfeldt Road, Marananga Planted on own roots ‚– old vines (12ft x 8ft spacing) Deep red/brown earths with eroded protrusions of crystalline quartz ranging between 272-296m above sea level. The Schubert Theorem lies within a branch of mathematics known as 'knot theory'. It states that any knot can be uniquely decomposed as the connected sum of prime knots. Aptly named, this wine deconstructs the Schubert family vineyard into its distinct sections, taking the finest elements of each and re-assembling to connect and enhance their strengths. - Dan Standish
Dan Standish got his reputation as the head winemaker at Torbreck. Nowadays that reputation is but a shadow compared to the winemaker he has become under his own creation - The Standish Wine Co. His wines come second to none. Commitment to ethics is of the highest importance and quality is never compromised to produce these dazzling wines from the Barossa and Eden Valley's.The Standish wines are refined, elegant and layered. They tell a story of the old vines and the farmers that nurture them. This makes them special, unique even, and it's a pleasure to be able to offer them to our customers.
