The Mâconnais region has had a resurgence in recent years due to some of the big names of the Côte D’Or investing in the area after seeing the potential in these sites. The wines from Mâconnais tend to be a bit riper and rounder than those from the Côte D’Or due to its closer proximity to the equator and can offer great value if you know where to look.
