BK Wines Tasting
Saturday 18th
3pm - 6pm
Join us this Saturday as we taste through the fantastic BK Wines from Adelaide Hills!
BK Wines was established in 2007 by Brendon and Kirstyn Keys with the goal of creating fabulous art. After learning from some great winemakers across NZ, Argentina and California, the couple started working with their site in the Adelaide Hills, tucked away surrounded by native bush land, koalas and an abundant birdlife. When it comes to the process of winemaking, Brendon’s goal, first and foremost, is to source exceptional small sustainable vineyards producing grapes that reflect the individuality of a particular site. As a winemaker he uses a minimalist approach to gently guide well-chosen fruit to a beautiful final result in the bottle. This combination of an artistic soul and unyielding quality standards makes Brendon a recognised master of his craft. These are the wines that we'll be pouring on the day:
BK Skin n Bones Savagnin 2025
BK Ego Is The Enemy Pinot Gris 2025
BK Saignee Pinot Noir 2025
BK Carbonic Pinot 2025
BK Skin n Bones Pinot Noir 2025
BK Skin N Bones Gamay 2025
Come down to the store this Saturday and try these thoughtful wines for yourself!

Jauma
Jauma is one of Australia's best natural wine producers, making wine from McLaren Vale Fruit from their farm based in Lenswood, Adelaide Hills. James Erskine is the head winemaker with a background in soil chemistry and has worked as an award-winning sommelier and national wine judge while his partner Sophie runs the gardening, farming and is the manager for Jauma's public offerings, wellness retreats and their famous festival, Jaumafest. Together they craft some of the most fun and exciting wines in Australia.
Inside the winery, Jauma produces wines from grapes, nothing more. There are no additions of anything — no sulfur, yeasts, acids, tannins, chemicals, preservatives, filtration, polymers, colours, nor any fish, egg or plastic settling agents. This creates pure and living wines, uninhibited in their portrayal of fruit, terroir and character. Having met James and tasted a range of his wines last year, we can attest to the fact that these wines are fresh and free of flaws that are common among many minimal intervention wines. No eye-watering volatile acidity or face-scrunching mousiness here - just excellent expressions of the sites they come from.
We recently picked up a range of wines from Jauma to share with you. The ‘24 ‘Somewhere on Another Hill Sauvignon Blanc’ spends 11 months on its skins in clay amphora before being pressed to barrel for a further 6 months. This is nothing like a classic ‘Savvy B’, this is actually interesting and doesn’t smell like cat urine. A new cuvee from Jauma is the '25 'Bedrock and Blooms Muscat a Petit Grains' which shows the interesting fruit and floral profile of the grape with lots of tension and texture on the palate and we have a bottle left of the '24 'Lulu Old Vine Chenin Blanc'. The '25 'Fi's Garden Sciacarello' will hit the spot for all of you that are craving a "chilled red" and the '24 'Danby Grenache' is carbonically macerated for 2 weeks then pressed to tank for 11 months - bright, aromatic and spicy. Finally, we have the '24 'Ralph's Grenache' which spends 1 month macerating on its skins before being pressed off to age in locally-made clay amphora. This can give the great McLaren Vale Grenaches a run for their money. These wines are always good fun and great value, pick up yours today!
