French Wine Tasting Saturday 31st August 3pm-6pm
Join us this Saturday for a tasting of a great range of family-run estate French wines. These wines will be from a spectrum of classic regions from Alsace and Chablis to Bordeaux and Southern Rhone - something for everyone. These are all modestly-priced as far as French wines go so you can happily leave the store with your favourite bottles. Here's what we'll be pouring:
Alsace Willm Pinot Blanc
Chateau Ragotiere Muscadet
Domaine Fevre Chablis
Domaine Seminaire Côtes-du-Rhône
Chateau Gantonnet Bordeaux
Domaine Font-Sane Gigondas
As you can see, this little tour of France has something for everyone. See you there!

Great-Value Wines
This week we are shifting from a producer-centric focus to highlight some cheaper, great-value wines. I know everyone loves our store for the high end, unique and eccentric wines that we stock, but we also have some bangers at affordable prices too that not as many of you may be aware of.
I've selected 6 different wines below that we carry adequate stock of because we love to sell them and believe they are great wines, not just "good for the money". The Cantina Tollo Grigio is a store favourite for cheaper Pinot Grigio and can easily holds its own against some examples that sell for twice the price. The Prince Estivac is an excellent sparkling wine that is fun and fresh and made from varieties that aren't as common as the beaten-to-death Champagne varieties. The Umani Ronchi Montepulciano is probably one of the best reds you could possibly buy under $25 made from the flagship Pugliese grape that everyone keeps asking us for. Claus Preisinger's wines are absolutely sensational, vibrant and exotic hailing from the region of Burgenland in Austria which is severely underrepresented here in Australia. The Cirillo Grenache is easily the best Australian Grenache you can get under $30 from some of the oldest Grenache vines in the world. This is really a no-brainer. Finally, the "pig wine" is a fun Côtes du Rhône with a funny label to be enjoyed with friends and family around a barbeque.
Whether you want some cheaper wines to help with the cost of living these days or want some to add to you order to hit the 6 bottle discount, these are some that should grab your attention.
