From the first glass to the last glass this little Monty oozes class. Ripe and flavoursome with softly structured, powdery tannins and only 12.5% Alc/Vol. It retains elegance and balance while impressing with its youthfullness and complexity. It never ceases to amaze me how good all the Gran Sasso wines are because they are so very inexpensive. The aromas of violets, dried herbs and sweet earth jump out of the glass and then follow onto the palate. There is length and complexity here too with savoury tannins and a nice lean drive through the palate. Serve at 12-15 degrees C. Screwcap. Drink Now.
