Holiday Opening Hours

The anticipated Easter weekend is coming up this week and we will be trading as close to normal as possible. We are open throughout the week until Friday so make sure you get your Easter booze in before it's too late! These are our trading hours:

Good Friday 03/04/2026 - CLOSED

Saturday 04/04/2026 - 10am - 8pm

Easter Sunday 05/04/2026 - 10am - 8pm

Easter Monday - 10am - 8pm

We are closed on Good Friday but open every other day, just finishing slightly earlier at 8pm. There is no wine tasting this Saturday but that will return the following week so stay tuned!

Spinifex

Peter Schell and Magali Gely established Spinifex Wines in 2001 where they have had a home in the Barossa Valley for over twenty years, holding a strong commitment and passion for the Barossa. They also have a strong French connection, both physically and philosophically with Magali's family having winemaking history in Lunel, near Montpellier and Peter having extensive vintage work in Bordeaux, Burgundy, Provence, and the Languedoc. Time spent in the south of France has fuelled their interest in making unique, hand crafted wines with personality – generous and honest expressions of the varieties and their provenance.

Peter and Magali work with sustainable growers throughout the Barossa and Eden Valleys and have also purchased their own vineyards in Eden Valley (Rostein Vineyard) and the Barossa Valley floor (Dominion Vineyard) from which they produce pure expressions of the climatically suited varieties of which they are planted to. They believe that the best wines come from great vineyards and work to make wines in a way that highlights their uniqueness. The winemaking blends classic and modern methods to bring out the best of their grapes.

We've just stocked up on these great Barossa wines that we believe represent excellent value. The '25 'Chenin Blanc' is an interesting expression of this grape from a region not generally known for whites, let alone Chenin. We also have the '25 'Rose' and '23 'Luxe Rose' which are excellent options for those that love their Provence Rose. There are 3 excellent red blends: '22 'La Cigale', '25 'Papillon' and the '23 'Esprit' which varying proportions of red Rhône grapes - medium to fuller-bodied. Then we have the '22 'Syrah' which is probably the best value Syrah in the country and the '22 'Bete Noir Shiraz' for a more robust style. All of these wines would be excellent to bring along to an Easter BBQ - stock up now so you receive them in time for the long weekend!
