2013 was a bit of a challenge in New England. As ripening progressed so did the amount of rain fall. I’d assume that this Saignee Rose was inspired by the lack of concentration in the Nebbiolo of the vintage.
That being said, this is a yummy rose! Not a cop out like you see in some rose’s from tough vintages. It’s a dry and tannin-textured rose with plenty of red fruits bursting out of the glass with every sip.
One for summer that’s for sure!
Only a couple of hundred bottles produced.
