Jilly Wines "Lone Ranger" Shiraz is from the New South Wales region of New England in the state's north. Jared Dixon established the label a couple of years ago and this new arrival is pretty darn tasty. With time open or a good decant it really opens up and shows the fruit and complexity.

"Pretty funky to begin with on the nose, but give the wine some time to show it's juice and true Shiraz characters. Once it opens the nose is rather carbonic in nature with blackberry fruit and tonnes of spice - cardamon, cinnamon, clove. It's as though it's been oaked, but it hasn't! Exciting stuff from the young gunning winemaker Jared Dixon from the small town of Clunes in New South Wales's New England region."
