PRODUCER PROFILE: CHRISTIAN MOREAU
Christian Moreau is one of the best producers working out of Chablis, with 6 generations of rich family history in the region. The Domaine Christian Moreau Père et Fils as we know it today was formed in 2001 with the son Fabian having control of operations since then after a handover and blessing from his father Christian.
As my father says, “Chablis is unique”, and our goal is to show it!”
At every single step of the winemaking process, they work to respect the terroir, vines and grapes to create pure wines that are characteristic of Chablis. In the vineyard, they plow, use organic fertilizers and zero pesticides on their soils since 2004; with Organic certification in 2013. All grapes are hand-harvested with rigorous grape-selection, slow pneumatic pressing and the juice is vinified by natural yeasts only with carefully chosen oak and stainless steel to get the most out of each wine. Christian Moreau also have excellent holdings in choice Grand Cru vineyards, with about 12 hectares in total in these GC holdings. These are wines of precision, crystal-clear typicity and elegance, that will age gracefully while still offering immediate enjoyability too.
We've just received our recent batch of these amazing wines to share with you, starting with the '25 'Petit Chablis' and '25 'Chablis'. From their Premier Cru offerings we have the '25 'Vaillon 1er' and the 'Guy Moreau Vaillons 1er' in both '24 and '23 vintages. Of the legendary Grand Crus, we have the '23 'Valmur Grand Cru' and '23 'Les Clos Grand Cru' (also available in magnum). Finally, we have the rare '24 'Grand Cru Assemblage' which is assembled from a blend of the Grand Cru parcels due to lower yields in 2024. These are some of the greatest and most reliable wines in Chablis - stock up for Spring and Summer!

DISCOVERY POUR: TAPARAS CARAMBOUILLE ROUGE
As we coming blazing into Spring, we want you to discover the cooler, fresher side of the Rhône. In a region traditionally known for producing big, alcoholic red wines, there is a small batch of producers like this one doing things a bit differently. Using the same grapes of the region but with earlier picking times, gentler maceration and different aging vessels can produce a delicious wine like this loaded with juicy red fruits, florals and a light succulent body that welcomes a chill. Dangerously gluggable, or "glou-glou" as the label says it in French. This is perfect to take on a picnic or drink as an aperitif. Discover the fresher side of the Rhône!

JUST IN: BINDI:
Bindi
Bindi is a producer that I'm sure doesn't need an introduction to most of you. Although, as this estate is small and elusive, it's possible you haven't heard too much about them. The Bindi farm is located in the Macedon Ranges, roughly 50km NW of Melbourne. It is here that they have built a name for themselves as one of, if not the greatest producer of Pinot and Chardonnay in the country in a very 'Burgundian' style. There is a reason why they have so many wines listed in both tiers of the Langton's classification.
We've received another lot of wines from this iconic producer. We have a lot more wines from the great Dhillon label that utilises purchased grapes from nearby regions. From the Bindi mainline, we have the '25 'Kostas Rind Chardonnay', '25 'Dixon Pinot Noir' and a small amount of the '24 and '23 'Block 8 Pinot Noir'. Get in quick!
