Bierzo has emerged as one of Spain’s most exciting regions for those seeking freshness, finesse, and old-vine character. Its wines often appeal to drinkers who favour elegance over power. 

LOCATION: 

Bierzo is located in northwest Castilla y León, bordering Galicia. 

TERROIR: 

The region sits in a transitional zone between Atlantic and continental climates. Vineyards are planted on slopes and valley floors with soils ranging from slate and schist to clay and sand. 

VARIETIES: 

Mencía dominates red production, offering aromatic and mineral-driven wines. Godello is the most important white variety.
