Beyond Ribera del Duero and Bierzo, Castilla y León is home to a number of lesser-known but high-quality regions producing distinctive wines at strong value. These areas often favour old vines and minimal intervention. 

LOCATION: 

Central-northern Spain, spanning a large inland plateau. 

TERROIR: 

Continental climate with cold winters and hot summers. High altitudes and poor soils help retain acidity and control yields. 

VARIETIES: 

Tempranillo is widespread, alongside Garnacha, Verdejo, and local varieties depending on subzone. 

PRODUCERS: 

Comando G, Bodega Numanthia, Bodegas Mauro, Bodegas San Roman
