Jumilla and Yecla are known for robust, sun-drenched wines made primarily from Monastrell. These regions offer some of Spain’s strongest value wines. 

LOCATION: 
Southeastern Spain, inland from the Mediterranean coast. 

TERROIR: 
Hot, dry climate with minimal rainfall. Limestone-rich soils and high-altitude vineyards help maintain balance. 

VARIETIES: 
Monastrell dominates, producing deeply coloured, full-bodied wines. Garnacha and Syrah also feature.
