Clairette grows widly in and around the souther Rhone department, Languedoc and Provence regions of France. This white grape is seldom produced as a single varietal but is very often found in the white blends of Cotes du Rhone and Chateuneauf du Pape. Often also refered to as Blanquette De Limoux it is also used in the production of vermouth.
