Collection: Domaine du Jas

Domaine du Jas is a small family estate in the southern Rhône, based around the village of Suzette in the Dentelles de Montmirail. 

The vineyards sit at altitude on the limestone-rich slopes of the region, where cooler nights and the influence of the mistral help retain freshness in an otherwise warm Mediterranean climate. Grenache forms the backbone of the domaine, supported by varieties including Syrah, Mourvèdre and Cinsault, with the vineyards farmed organically and much of the work carried out by hand. 

In the cellar the approach is traditional and deliberately uncomplicated, with indigenous fermentations, gentle extraction and élevage that favours the character of the fruit and vineyard over obvious oak. These are southern Rhône wines with warmth and generosity, but also freshness, savoury detail and a rustic, unpolished character that makes them particularly engaging.
