Collection: Domaine Jean Grivot

Domaine Jean Grivot is one of the great family estates of the Côte de Nuits, based in Vosne-Romanée and long recognised for its classically structured, terroir-driven Pinot Noirs. The Grivot family has been established in Burgundy since the early 19th century, with the modern era shaped by Jean Grivot and now his son Etienne, who took over in the late 1980s and has since been joined by his daughter Mathilde, marking the fifth generation of family stewardship.

The estate farms around 15 hectares of prime vineyards across Vosne-Romanée, Nuits-Saint-Georges and Chambolle-Musigny, including prestigious holdings in Clos de Vougeot, Echézeaux, and Richebourg Grand Cru. Viticulture follows organic and lutte raisonnée principles, with meticulous attention to soil vitality, canopy management and low yields to ensure concentration and balance.

In the cellar, the approach combines tradition with a refined, modern precision: whole-bunch inclusion is used selectively, fermentations are spontaneous, and élevage takes place in French oak (around one-third new) to enhance structure without overpowering fruit. The resulting wines are known for their depth, aromatic complexity and longevity—Pinots of purity, tension and sensual texture that capture the essence of Vosne’s fabled terroir.
