Jean-Michel Gaunoux began producing wine under his own label in 1990. Prior to this he'd worked under his father, Francois. He is based in Meursault and farms 6 hectares across the appellations of Meursault, Pommard and Volnay. The vineyard and cellar are operated with minimal intervention and the resulting wines are elegant, suave and pure. They also cellar very well.
