Collection: Pietradolce
Pietradolce is a family-owned estate founded in 2005 by Michele Faro and his family on the northern slopes of Mount Etna, in Solicchiata, where viticulture is driven by passion, history and volcanic terroir. Their vineyards sit at high altitude (around 650-950 metres) in contrade such as Santo Spirito, Rampante, Zottorinoto and Feudo di Mezzo, including some pre-Phylloxera vines up to 100-plus years old, trained by hand in traditional alberello or similar methods. Soils are rich with lava, pumice, and mineral elements, and Pietradolce focuses exclusively on indigenous Etna varieties such as Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio, and Carricante. Their winemaking follows a hand-crafted, minimal-intervention philosophy: native yeast fermentations, careful cellar practices, restrained oak use, all chosen to let the volcanic soils and cool mountain climate show through in wines of clarity, freshness and unique place.
