Located in the heart of Gioia del Colle in Puglia, Azienda Agricola Plantamura is a family-run estate dedicated to organic viticulture and to expressing the character of southern Italy’s native varieties. Founded by the Plantamura family, the domaine has become a reference point for Primitivo di Gioia del Colle, a DOC renowned for its higher-altitude vineyards, cooler nights and limestone-rich soils that give the wines more freshness and balance compared to the broader Primitivo di Manduria zone.

The estate is certified organic and places strong emphasis on sustainability, biodiversity and minimal intervention. Old-vine Primitivo is the heart of production, yielding wines that are deeply coloured and concentrated, yet lifted by vibrant acidity and a marked mineral edge. Alongside Primitivo, the family also cultivates small parcels of other indigenous grapes, further anchoring the domaine in its local tradition.

In the cellar, fermentation is carried out with care to preserve purity of fruit, and oak is used judiciously to support rather than dominate.
