Collection: Springbank
Springbank is one of Scotland’s most historic and revered distilleries, located in Campbeltown on the Kintyre Peninsula — once the heart of Scotland’s whisky industry. Established in 1828 by the Reid family and later taken over by their relatives, the Mitchells, Springbank remains independently owned and operated by the Mitchell family to this day. It is celebrated as one of the few distilleries in Scotland to perform every step of production on-site: malting, distillation, maturation, and bottling.
The distillery produces three distinct styles — the lightly peated Hazelburn, the heavily peated Longrow, and the signature Springbank, a medium-peated whisky distilled two and a half times — all crafted using traditional methods. Floor malting is still done by hand, fermentation is long and natural, and direct-fired stills contribute to the whiskies’ signature oily texture and complexity.
Springbank whiskies are renowned for their depth, balance and coastal character, combining maritime salinity with notes of malt, spice and gentle smoke. Maturation takes place exclusively in Campbeltown, often in ex-bourbon and sherry casks, producing whiskies of remarkable individuality and integrity.
Steadfastly traditional and proudly independent, Springbank stands as a living link to Scotch whisky’s heritage — a distillery that prizes authenticity over scale, crafting spirits of unmistakable personality and provenance.
