Collection: Torrontes
Argentina’s white grape. An aromatic variety that is grown predominantly in the north of Argentina, with the best wines coming from the Salta region. One of the parent varietals to Torrontes is Zibbibo, a member of the Muscat family, from which Torrontes gets its lifted aromatic profile. In fact, it is often compared to Muscat and Gewurztraminer in terms of aromatics, but the wines made from Torrontes are almost always fermented fully dry.
As a single varietal wine, Torrontes shows lifted characters of rose petal, peach and lemon citrus tones on the nose. The palate is light to medium-bodied, and tends to have flavours of stone fruit and citrus, with an herbaceous edge, and subtle honey notes. It is a fantastic pairing with aromatic Indian food, or spicy Thai dishes.
