PRODUCER PROFILE: WHIP WINES
Whips Wines are produced by the adage - "good wine. No wine snobs." These are fun and exciting approachable wines meant for every day occasions. These wines bridge the gap between a rodeo, dive bar and a long-table dinner. Unpretentious styles of wine that are extremely popular at the moment - light, juicy and quaffable wines that can be popped, poured and enjoyed at any moment.
The '24 'White' is a 50/50 blend of Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc from grapes coming from both Adelaide Hills and Barossa Valley - fresh, fruity and crisp. The '24 'Rose' is a 50/50 blend of Chardonnay and Shiraz! Juicy and textural. Finally, the '24 'Red' is made from pouring Merlot juice over Merlot bunches for 25 days before resting in fibreglass. This is super light and chillable and a joy to drink. If you want to try some easy-going fun wines, pick up some of these Whip Wines!

DISCOVERY POUR: Cantina Girlan
This week we want you to discover the beauty of Südtirol's indigenous red grape - Lagrein!
Lagrein is generally medium in body and produces wines with a deep red-fruited profile (sometimes pushing into blue fruits) with some nice spice characteristics as well as some fresh northern Italian acid and tannic structure.
If you like any of the other red grapes of the north such as Dolcetto, Barbera and Nebbiolo, you should give this ago and pair it with some hearty pasta, charcuterie or cheese!
