Collection: Austria

Austria has an interesting position within European wine with an entirely continental, sitting parallel to France and south of Germany, the Eastern Alps and various lakes influence the terroirs. Being south of Germany it is naturally slightly warmer, where white wine still dominates (most notably Riesling, but also Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Welschriesling) but has a much bigger focus on red wine that Germany with Blaufrankisch, Zweigelt and St. Laurent being the major players. There are a lot of interesting wines to explore that still represent great value for money.
