Collection: Domaine des Maels

Domaine des Maels is a small family estate run by Morgane and Frédéric Maels in the Minervois, in the Languedoc. Based in the village of Argens-Minervois, they farm their vineyards organically, working with traditional Mediterranean varieties including Carignan, Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault, alongside white varieties such as Vermentino and Grenache Blanc. 

Their approach begins in the vineyard, with an emphasis on healthy soils, low yields and allowing the warm, dry Mediterranean landscape to shape the wines. In the cellar, winemaking is deliberately simple and low intervention, with indigenous yeasts, gentle extractions and restrained use of sulphur. 

The resulting wines offer a fresher, more energetic expression of the Minervois – generous enough to speak clearly of the south of France, but with brightness, savoury detail and an easy-going drinkability at their core.
