Collection: Fortified - Port - Vintage Port

Vintage Port is the pinnacle of Port production around the world. The gapes are harvested from a single vintage, fermented and fortified with a grape spirit leaving some residual sugar in the wine and a higher alcohol volume of around 20% abv. The finished wine is then aged for a few years in barrel until bottling.

One of the main virtues of Vintage Port is it's age-ability. Over time Vintage Port's evolve and develop their characteristics from fruity when young to savoury as they get older, much like a table wine. They are magnificent wines and pair beautifully with hard and blue cheeses as well as more decadent deserts.
