Tasting Notes

Léon is the domaine’s first Chardonnay cuvée, grown on clay-rich soils and picked late in September. The grapes are pressed directly into large 3,000L foudres for both fermentations, before resting in smaller neutral barrels. What emerges is a wine that captures the soul of Jura Chardonnay — pure, textural and full of quiet power. Tasting it, I found it to be a fantastic expression of the region: precise yet generous, with the depth and structure to age beautifully over time. - Pete L
