Collection: Lurji Bani
Lurji Bani is a tiny Georgian producer founded in 2021 by lifelong friends Dato and Gogita, joined by Gogita’s son Leo. After years making wine together in Dato’s basement in Tbilisi, they established Lurji Bani in the village of Nukriani in Kakheti, taking over an 18th-century marani and a one-hectare vineyard that had been organically farmed since planting. Sitting around 800 metres above sea level, the vineyard is predominantly Rkatsiteli, with small amounts of Mtsvane and Buera. Their wines offer a fresh, contemporary take on Georgia’s ancient winemaking culture — naturally fermented, textural and characterful, but with an emphasis on brightness and drinkability. The name Lurji Bani translates as “Blue Terrace”, inspired by the view across the Alazani Valley from their cellar.
