Collection: Passerina

Grown predominantly in the Italian regions of Marche and Abruzzo, Passerina gets its name from the “little sparrows” that seem to be quite partial to the grapes! The grapes are quite large and firm, and are used to make single varietal wines, as well as used in blending.

Areas such as Offida and Falerio in Marche have received either DOC or DOCG status for the wines made from Passerina. These tend to be light to medium-bodied, floral, aromatic, with ripe citrus notes. The better wines also have a mineral edge to them, and a crisp, clear acidity. They are not usually intended for ageing, and will complement lighter style Italian dishes, particularly those based around seafood.
