Collection: Santamaria

Santamaria is a small, family-run estate based in La Morra, at the heart of Barolo’s northwestern hills. Founded by the Santamaria family and now led by brothers Marco and Elio, the domaine is dedicated to producing traditional, terroir-focused expressions of Nebbiolo that capture the perfume and finesse of La Morra’s soils. Their vineyards include holdings in the Capalot cru—one of the commune’s most revered sites—where the mix of calcareous marl and sandstone yields wines of elegance, aromatic lift and supple tannin.

Farming is carried out with respect for the land, using sustainable and increasingly organic practices. In the cellar, fermentations are spontaneous with native yeasts, macerations are long, and ageing takes place in large Slavonian oak botti to preserve purity and transparency. The result is a suite of wines that blend structure and grace, reflecting the family’s quiet commitment to authenticity and patience.

Santamaria stands among the new generation of thoughtful Barolo producers—crafting wines that honour the traditions of the Langhe while expressing the subtlety and character of their La Morra terroir.
