Tasting Notes
The fruit for this is sourced from Abyss Block at Churton and is coming from their oldest vines and the quality of fruit is obvious in the glass immediately. There is a perfume that leaps from the glass of red fruits, forest floor which carries onto the palate with elegance. This is a gorgeous wine made with lots of love and care. - Pete L
A Thousand Gods is the natural wine project of Simon Sharpe and Lauren Keenan, created after a decade of winemaking in France’s Cahors and vintages across nine countries. Now based in New Zealand, they source biodynamically grown fruit from the Waihopai Valley in Marlborough, crafting wines that undergo wild fermentation with no additives, fining, or filtration. The result is a collection of clean, textural, and expressive wines—vegan and additive-free—that feel both generous and cellar-worthy, capturing Marlborough’s terroir with surprising individuality.
