Tasting Notes
This Grenache is a half and half blend from two of McLaren Vale's most contrasting soils, the deep white sands of Blewitt Springs and the limestone rich clays of Willunga. Both sites are farmed organically and wild fermented in small open tubs, with the Blewitt Springs fruit getting just ten days on skins and the Willunga fruit another four weeks sealed up. Aged in seasoned hogsheads and steel, with no fining or filtration. A medium bodied Grenache that shows off both sides of the Vale. - Pete L
Made by my mate Jimmy, jack of many wine trades, has turned to winemaking over recent years. He's also the guy behind the amazing wine events that support small producers called The Fruitful Pursuit.
Jeez he's making some really slurpable, glugable, drinkable... you get the point... wines out of SA from organic or biodynamic vineyards. The whites are pristine and fresh, the reds are light and juicy. Get around them!
