Tasting Notes
Purp is a fresh spin on the classic South Australian GSM, made in a tiny shed in Aldinga Beach from three organic vineyards across McLaren Vale and the Barossa. Seven separate components were picked by hand and made every which way, from whole bunch to foot crushed, tank to egg to barrel, before blending. Just a single small dose of sulphur, with no fining or filtration. A medium bodied GSM that's all about place rather than sunshine. Far from the classic GSM but that's a good thing. - Pete L
Made by my mate Jimmy, jack of many wine trades, has turned to winemaking over recent years. He's also the guy behind the amazing wine events that support small producers called The Fruitful Pursuit.
Jeez he's making some really slurpable, glugable, drinkable... you get the point... wines out of SA from organic or biodynamic vineyards. The whites are pristine and fresh, the reds are light and juicy. Get around them!
