Tasting Notes
Destemmed and then trodden by foot for hours, followed by a 48 hour maceration and a spontaneous ferment. Nero d'Avola leads at 60% with Frappato behind it, all organically grown in Contrada Bastonaca in Vittoria. Light and delicate on paper and anything but in the glass, packed with ripe fleshy cherry and strawberry, a big squeeze of pomegranate and rhubarb, and all that red skin character running through it. - Pete L
