Tasting Notes
The vineyard sits a kilometre from the sea near the Gorghi Tondi reserve in Marsala, on sandy calcareous soils with vines averaging around 25 years, and the salinity that comes off that site is the whole point of the wine. All Catarratto, organically farmed, split across two clones. The wine had a day on skins to push that saltiness further. It's fresh. saline, mineral and textural with a massive squeeze of citrus. Bloody delicious. - Pete L
