Tasting Notes
Pure Frappato, grown on the red sands that Vittoria is known for at Vigna Nicosia in Contrada Bastonaca. Picked at the end of August, destemmed and left to ferment on its native yeasts in tank, then eight months in fibreglass with a single barrique alongside. Delicate and detailed, packed with red and dark fruit with a touch of savoury spice and just enough grip to hold it. Organically grown and a real delight. - Pete L
