Tasting Notes
The wines of Merricks are among, if not the best, wines of the Mornington Peninsula. They have an arresting balance between vibrant aromatics, silky smooth palate and firm refreshing tannins. As usual, the 2018 Merricks is finest and most fragrant of the three township wines but this year, as a result of a very dry February, has additional power and length. It also displays the typically lifted raspberry and cranberry notes that I see every year but with an extra dose of very fine tannins and the same refreshing acidity. - Winery Note
