Tasting Notes
From pre-1920 Muscat vines planted high in the Lefka Ori at old-school density, this release offers a wonderfully restrained and textural take on the variety. The fruit is destemmed, given a short seven-hour maceration and fermented wild in ceramic vessels before a full year on lees, resulting in a wine that feels bright and quietly detailed. Aromas of citrus peel, white flowers and fennel lead into a linear, gently pithy palate with a surprising saline edge, finishing clean, taut and beautifully composed. - Aaron C
Less is more! Minimal intervention or Lo-fi wines encapsulate those producers who keep additions and manipulations to a minimum during the winemaking process. This means the wines are wild fermented, unfiltered and unfined, and only add sulfur during the process.
