Tasting Notes
Lighter in look, this pinot is defined by its savoury mouthfeel, fine tannins and acidity. Strawberry to red cherry taste and a fleeting hint of smoke that passes. 30 year old vines on red volcanic soil, skin contact for initial 3 weeks approx. and mostly older barrels all contributing to the style. 13.5% alc. Loved it with and after pan fried sardines with veggies. - Michael L
Bicknell FC is the label of Dave Bicknell and his wife Nicole Harris in the Yarra Valley. Dave is responsible for the rise of the Oakridge wines to fame and we see no reason why that trend wouldn't continue with their own label.
