Tasting Notes
Adelaide Hills Chardonnay and I get along so well. Another great example from Jess at Bande Apart. One for those who prefer the leaner side of Chardonnay, but with oxidative presence. White stonefruit, peach, nectarine and a lovely creamy finish. - Pete L
Bande Apart is a boutique wine project led by Jess DiGiorgio (and collaborator Jamie), rooted in South Australia but sourcing from cool, expressive sites. Their vineyards include single-plot parcels in Whitfield (Victoria) and Lenswood (Adelaide Hills), plus fruit from King Valley and Coonawarra. The aim is clear: make wines with light hands, fermented on wild yeasts and bottled without filtration to let vintage, variety and vineyard shine through. From Adelaide Hills Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier to Coonawarra Cabernet Franc and King Valley Aligoté, the range is eclectic yet coherent—each wine bold in identity, committed to purity and authenticity.
