Tasting Notes

Our first single parcel release came from the Limeworks in the 2016 vintage. A goal from the beginning that should vintage conditions allow, we might continue to explore the unique aspects of the individual parcels that make up our site. It is no surprise, given Chardonnay’s unique ability to express , that our first Single Parcel is from the Limeworks Block. These are the oldest Chardonnay vines planted at Bell Hill and show a level of detail and complexity that is not shouting from the rooftops but expresses quiet sophistication. Single Parcel wines are only made in years where the voice of the individual block is clear and yields allow.

This wine boasts the same Limestone driven acidity that characterises Bel Hill Chardonnay but with a unique expression and more singular focus. A detailed nose of wet river stones with chalky, mineral lift, filling the glass with an intensity of the distinctive voice from the site. - Winery Note.
