Cork. Pierre Virant is a thin strip of a vineyard adjacent to the much better known Monts Luisants (village section). Both sites lie at the top of the slope above Clos de la Roche, just below the forest with an old quarry above. Leroux’s parcel, and our third allocation of this wine, comes from a small parcel of vines that are now 40 years old. The grapes were 100% destemmed, with 25% new oak. - Importer Note
