Absolutely sensational grower Champagne. This explodes with lemon, lemon curd, white peach, nectarine and green apple on the nose with autolytic notes of brioche and pecan as well as some white blossom and a hint of flint. Rich and complex without being overbearing. The racy acidity here creates a wine of exceptional energy and tension with a long crisp finish and outperforms some $300+ Champagne I’ve had. This was a sublime pairing with the fish and chips I had from the store around the corner from us. - Aaron. C.
Terroirs: Montagne de Reims: Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from Ludes Premier Cru (Les Hautes Plantes, Champs des Dames, St Mards, Vignes Saint Jean, Les Noues), Ormes (Les MonteÃÅes).
ValleÃÅe de la Marne: Meunier and Chardonnay from Mareuil le Port (Les Mizis, Maisoncelle, La CoÃÇte aux ChaÃÇtaigniers).
Blending: 30% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir and 35% Pinot Meunier including 30% of wines from perpetual blending system - aged in half-muids (600 liters).
Vinification:60% in wooden oaks - 40% in small vats - slow fermentation - ' Prise de mousse ' (second alcoholic fermentation): under metal crown caps. Aging on laths: 24 months.
Dosage: 7g/l - Traditional liquor
