Tasting Notes
I love Bobar! This Shiraz has an unusually high proportion of Viognier in it, but frankly it works. The Viognier seems to work as a kind of buffer to the uber-savoury Shiraz making it lighter in body and more approachable. The texture and plethora of flavour profiles makes this a really interesting wine. Decant and serve slightly chilled. - Chris L
Bobar is the playfully cheeky French term that means "a little messed up"...the wines are not. These are fabulous wine from Tom Belford and his wife where they have drawn inspiration from their wine making experiences in Beaujolais. Yarra Valley wine for sure, but with an edginess...a new look at Yarra...well worth having a look at.
