Tasting Notes
The name Double Lies gives the game away here. This cognac is distilled on twice the usual amount of lees, which packs it with roughly three times the aromatic compounds of a standard distillation, so you get an incredible intensity and depth of flavour. From there it's aged eleven years in old Limousin oak, brought down to strength with local spring water and bottled by gravity with nothing filtered, blended or added. It's about as pure and characterful as cognac gets, a real one for the enthusiasts. - Pete L
