Tasting Notes
Ribolla Nera, called “Schioppettino” in Friuli, is one of the most typical indigenous grape varieties of the region. Although the grapes are fully destemmed at harvest this wine portrays characters abundant in herbs like thyme and rosemary, and peppercorns among a more subdued red fruit layer. There are plenty of fine tannins in the wine but as it's been aged well before released these are well integrated, like much of the wines features. A truely unique and expressive wine for true lovers of spice and savoury wines. - Chris L
